The world's cotton prices are now 50% more than last year. With prices increasing from about 60 cents per pound to 90 cents per pound; these prices are expected to increase more in the coming months. The price increases are a result of worldwide shortage of cotton coupled with natural disasters which has destroyed much of the cotton crop, thus the world is now faced with the prospect of higher commodity prices.
