Product Description

These large USA Made awards are made from beetle kill pine or bamboo with a laser engraved message on wood. Beetle kill pine are trees that have been killed by a mountain pine beetle. If harvested within 5 years, these trees can be used for wood. If not harvested, they decay and become kindling for wildfires which ultimately release their carbon into our atmosphere contributing to higher green house gases. Each award is unique and displays beautifully. The sealer applied to the finished wood is hand-rubbed, boiled linseed oil, not a high-V.O.C. lacquer or varnish. One of our favorite eco-friendly awards! Please note that wood/bamboo patterns will be inconsistent with each piece being unique.
